Hand over of Affordable Homes to Moat


London Borough of Bexley Councillor Sue Gower MBE, Cabinet Member for Communities, handed over the keys to 21 new affordable apartments to Moat at Old Farm Place on Thursday, 11th February 2022.



She was joined by London Borough of Bexley Councillor Cafer Munur, Cabinet Member for Growth, Michael Hill Chairman of BexleyCo, Graham Ward Managing Director of BexleyCo and representing Moat were Louise Gregory (Head of Sales & Marketing New Homes), Ben Davis (New Homes Officer), Francis Casey (Development Project Manager) and Russell Drury (Senior Land, New Business & Development Manager).

Michael Hill said “The provision of good quality affordable homes for rent and sale forms an important part of our remit from the Council.  We are therefore delighted that our partnership with Moat at Old Farm Place has resulted in 21 homes for affordable rent and shared ownership.”

Councillor Gower said “These new homes will provide much needed housing for Bexley families, and we look forward to BexleyCo building many more new affordable homes for our residents.”

Russell Drury, Senior Land, New Business & Development Manager at Moat said:  “Moat is delighted to have taken over management of our apartments at Old Farm Place and to be assisting Bexley Council meet some of its local housing need. This is our first scheme working in partnership with BexleyCo and we are really pleased with the quality of the finished apartments.”

The 21 affordable 1 and 2 bedroom apartments are part of BexleyCo’s development of 58 new homes at Old Farm Place. 9 of the apartments are Shared Ownership and 12 for social rent.
